California Universal Waste Rule

With Aerosolv® can recycling technology, you can rest assured that you are not only doing what is best for your business and the environment, but you are also doing it under the sound approval of the government. After extensive evaluation and field testing, the California Environmental Protection Agency's Department of Toxic Substances Control certified Aerosolv® as a Hazardous Waste Treatment Technology. For more information, visit the Cal/EPA website.

RCRA Compliant

Companies pay large fines for the improper handling of hazardous waste, which includes aerosol cans. Spent aerosol cans are considered hazardous waste while still under pressure, and it is against Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations to dispose of in the trash. Aerosolv® allows you to safely puncture the aerosol can, relieving the can's pressure, filtering VOCs, and collecting any residual liquids. The result is RCRA compliant scrap steel meeting guideline 40 CFR 261.1(c)(6).

EPA’s Environmental Technology Verification Program

Aerosolv® is the only technology of its type to be verified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, through certification by the EPA’s Environmental Technology Verification Program. More information about the Environmental Technology Verification Program can be found here.
