Aerosolv is Cost Effective
We help companies directly reduce disposal costs by recycling millions of pounds of steel each year with the Aerosolv technology.
"We are presently using your Aerosolv system at our Hazardous Waste site. We are one of the largest refineries on the Gulf Coast with a 350,000-BPD plus capacity and a commitment to recycling. We recycle around 700 aerosol cans per month so your system is a vital tool in our recycling strategy."

Cost Benefits of Solid vs. Hazardous Waste
- One 55-gallon drum of hazardous waste costs up to $350 for proper handling.
- 4,200 spent aerosol cans equal one 55-gallon drum of hazardous waste.
- 96 cans of non-punctured aerosol cans cost between $650 and $1,200 for proper solid waste disposal.
- The cost to dispose of 4,200 spent cans as solid waste can be as much as $52,500.
- That cost savings of Hazardous Waste disposal over Solid Waste disposal ranges from $28,000 to $52,000.
- Even the solvents can be recycled right in the shop as parts cleaner and paints can be reclaimed, often resulting in waste minimization credit. And, of course, you’ve got the empty aerosol can, to be recycled with other scrap steel.
"Thank you for your continued interest in our recycling program. During the period from 1 October 1992 to 31 September 1993, COMNAVBASE Norfolk realized a savings of $333,738.00 by utilizing the Aerosolv Aerosol Can Recycling System. The Aerosolv system was implemented as an alternative to the previous practice of hazardous waste disposal of aerosol cans bulked in drums as solid waste."
